How to Watch Serbian TV in Austria and Germany 2026 – IPTV vs RTS Planeta vs Satellite
Four ways to watch RTS, Pink, Prva and Arena Sport abroad – channels, prices and limits of RTS Planeta, EON, satellite and IPTV.

Short answer: you can watch Serbian TV in Austria and Germany in four ways – with the official RTS Planeta app, with EON International, via satellite (Total TV International) or with an IPTV subscription. The first two cover only part of the channels, satellite needs a dish on the building, and IPTV brings every Serbian and regional channel into one app. Below we compare channels, prices and limitations of each option for 2026.
Overview: 4 ways at a glance

| IPTV (BalkanHD+) | RTS Planeta | EON International | Satellite (Total TV) | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| RTS channels | Yes | Yes (subscription) | Partly | Yes |
| Pink, Prva, B92, Happy | Yes | No | Partly | Yes |
| Arena Sport and Sport Klub | Yes | No | Sport Klub | Yes |
| Channels from HR, BiH, ME, MK | Yes | No | Partly | Yes |
| Dish on the building | Not needed | Not needed | Not needed | Needed (80 cm+) |
| Approx. price | from 6€ trial, 100€/year | 4.99€/month or 49.90€/year | depends on plan | ≈139€/year + equipment |
Option 1: RTS Planeta – the official RTS app
RTS Planeta (rtsplaneta.rs) is the official platform of Radio Television of Serbia. Abroad, RTS Svet, Radio Belgrade and part of the archive are free. For RTS 1, RTS 2, RTS 3, RTS Drama, RTS Život, RTS Kolo, RTS Poletarac and RTS Trezor you need a subscription: 4.99€ a month, 24.95€ for six months or 49.90€ a year.
The catch: because of broadcasting rights, major sports events (e.g. the World Cup) and some foreign films and series are often blocked outside Serbia, even with a paid subscription. And there's no Pink, Prva, Happy or Arena Sport.
Option 2: EON International and free streams
EON International (int.eon.tv) is United Group's offer for viewers outside Serbia, with channels such as Nova S, N1 and Sport Klub. Since 2025 N1 and Nova S can also be watched on the nova.live portal. However, Pink, Prva, Happy and Arena Sport aren't there, and EON accounts tied to a cable subscription in Serbia are increasingly geo-blocked when used abroad.
Option 3: Satellite – Total TV International
Total TV International broadcasts from Eutelsat 16E. You need a dish of at least 80 cm, a certified receiver and a card (VideoGuard); basic packages start at around 139€ a year with a contract. The biggest obstacle is the dish on the building:
- Austria: the Supreme Court (OGH) recognises a tenant's right to information, but the landlord must agree and the dish must not damage the facade or significantly spoil its appearance.
- Germany: courts increasingly see the internet as a sufficient alternative, so a landlord can refuse a dish on the balcony.
Note: in Serbia, Total TV has been part of Telekom Srbija since 2025 and trades under a new name – check the current offer for abroad before signing.
Option 4: IPTV – every channel in one app

An IPTV subscription runs over the internet you already have – no dish, no receiver, no landlord permission. With BalkanHD+ you get RTS 1, RTS 2, RTS 3, Pink, Prva, B92, Happy, Nova S, N1, Arena Sport and Sport Klub, plus channels from Croatia, Bosnia, Montenegro and North Macedonia – 1,500+ channels in total, with movies, series and catch-up. Watch on a Smart TV, Fire TV Stick, phone or tablet (guides for every device).

What it costs per year

If all you need is RTS, RTS Planeta is the cheapest option (49.90€ a year). But add up what a family actually watches – Pink and Prva for series, Arena Sport for the SuperLiga, N1 for news and cartoons for the kids – and IPTV at 100€ a year covers it all, while a mix of apps and satellite costs more and needs a dish.
Which option suits whom
- You only watch RTS and the news → RTS Planeta is enough.
- You only follow N1 and Nova S → free stream or EON International.
- You live in a house and don't mind a dish → satellite, with a contract.
- You want every Serbian and regional channel, sport and kids' content without a dish → IPTV. Start with the 7 criteria for choosing IPTV.
